Magic Shine
Terms & Conditions
The terms on which we provide cleaning services.
Scope
These terms apply to all cleaning services Magic Shine provides for private homes and businesses. Differing terms of the client apply only where we agree to them in writing.
Quote and formation of contract
Statements on this website are non-binding. A contract comes into being when we issue a written quote in response to your enquiry and you accept it. The quote states the scope, the price and the appointment.
Scope of work
What is included follows from the quote. Additional work is carried out by arrangement and invoiced separately. Work that requires special equipment or authorisation — working at height without safe access, for example — is not part of the service.
Prices
We charge by the hour as a rule; hourly rates start at the figures given on the pricing page. On request we agree a flat rate instead, depending on what you need. For recurring cleaning — weekly or fortnightly — we grant a discount, set individually and recorded in your quote. We bring cleaning products and equipment; special materials or disposal costs are itemised separately.
Payment
We invoice after the work has been done; the invoice is payable within 14 days without deduction. The payment method is agreed when you enquire. Statutory provisions apply in the event of late payment.
Appointments, access and cancellation
Appointments are binding once agreed. Please cancel an appointment at least 24 hours in advance; for shorter notice, or if we cannot get in at the agreed time, we may charge a reasonable amount for the time reserved. Equally, we will tell you without delay if we cannot keep an appointment and will offer a replacement.
What we need from you
We need access to the property, working power and water, and to be told about delicate surfaces, items of particular value and any areas that should not be entered. Keys and access codes are treated confidentially.
Satisfaction guarantee and defects
Please report a complaint within 24 hours of the visit. We will then re-clean the area concerned free of charge. Otherwise the statutory warranty provisions apply.
Liability
We are liable under the statutory provisions for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for personal injury. For slight negligence, liability is limited to the value of the order as far as the law permits. Damage must be reported to us without delay so that we can look into it.
Consumer right of withdrawal
For contracts concluded off our premises or at a distance, consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days. If we begin work before that period expires at your express request, the part performed up to the withdrawal is payable.
Data protection
We process personal data solely in order to carry out the work. The details are set out in the privacy policy.
Final provisions
Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The place of jurisdiction for disputes with businesses is Vienna. Should one provision be invalid, the remainder stay in force.
